She Really Let Herself Go!

October 8, 2012 , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Let yourself go!

Let herself go on a singles cruise,
To Vegas once, then to Honolulu.
Let herself go to New York City:
A week at the Spa; came back knocked-out pretty.
When he said he didn’t love her no more,
She let herself go.

You can thank country legend, George Strait, for this bit of inspiration. You may have heard his new song, “She Let Herself Go”….

This particular SHE let herself go after her guy left her. Why is it we wait until something bad happens to let ourselves go? Let ourselves try something new or take a trip or start a new hobby or get a makeover. I say don’t wait! Let yourself go!

Finally write that book you’ve been authoring in your head

+ Join a gym and actually go

+ Go through your underwear drawer and replace the granny panties with “I’m feeling sexy today don’t get in my way!”

+ Go to a movie you’ve been wanting to see all by yourself

+ Schedule a bliss day just for you

+ Plan a girls weekend

+ Sign up for a class at the local college

+ Sign up for a marathon and start training

+ Have that crucial conversation with your mate

+ Get that tattoo you’ve been too afraid to get

+ Schedule a date night; quit waiting for him/her to do it

+ Buy that ridiculous pair of shoes you may only wear once

+ Do something fearless

+ Scream at the top of your lungs, “What’s goin’ on?!” (wait, that’s 4 Non Blondes, right?!)

Really let yourself go!

Stay sane, my friends.

Again, I just love what is going on in your head! Priceless advice. 🙂

Yes, yes, yes to this. So many of my mummy friends have the feeling of “Is this it?” in their life, and I so felt the same. This year is different and I am blogging about all the New Things I am doing. It is making SUCH a difference to how I feel 🙂
